HARE Bisbee and Star Tropics

I wore these a little while back. I absolutely love the bunny shaped labels that Nikole uses. They are so adorable.

Bisbee. Three coats. Different sized gold hexes in a turquoise jelly. I've seen a lot of pictures where the base is very blue but mine pulls much more green. I am in love. The depth of all that gold glitter... omg.

Star Tropics. Three coats. Silver hexes and squares in a blurple jelly which is significantly more purple than my pictures portray. Again, look at all the depth. Crazy!

I'm not sure if Star Tropics will be available when HARE reopens (here) since there was some issues with the glitter melting and clumping. This is a replacement bottle that I was sent. It also arrived with a surprise stowaway that I need to wear very soon...

Lynnderella Funny Money Part 1

Ok... so here are the first three of the Funny Money Collection. Sorry these took so long. I wanted to wear each one as a full mani as I swatched them, haha

So without further ado.....

Two coats of Funny Money over one of DtW Enchanted Forest. This guy is a mix of different greens and black glitter with a bunch of other random glitters thrown in. It also smells like Bergamot! Sadly the smell kind of diminishes with top coat, but it's most definitely there when you are applying.

Two coats of Thank Blue! over DtW DJ Mix. Turquoise, blue, teal, green... extraordinary. It conjures up images of a twinkling ocean surrounding a beautiful island somewhere in paradise...... and mermaids :D

One coat of Lucky Numbers on Misa Heaven White. Black and red glitters in a clear base with pinky-red shimmer. One top of white, it totally looks like playing cards. Very Poker-esque.

As always, please check Lynnderella's blog and Llarowe for more info. I believe neither Lynn or Leah Ann will be selling until the new year.

A Few More Lynnderellas

Boo!

Hi! I'm in the midst of my exams right now (the end is finally near!) and wanted to do some swatching during a short break from studying.

I'm very sorry I never posted the rest of the Lynnderella Early Halloween and First Edition before I stopped.... but hey, cheer up! Here a a few more :) If I'm able to get my hands on the next ones, I think I'll swatch them instead of taking NOTD pics to speed things along.

Apologies in advance for some sub-par pictures. My photography skills seem to have taken a nose dive.

Gotta Love Brains. Two coats over Zoya Dove. So unusual! Very.... brainy. And I don't think I captured it, but it has this gorgeous bright pink shimmer throughout.

Love Potion No. 99. One coat over Ulta3 Spring Break. Check out this post by Lynn too. Amazing sentiments and an amazing polish.

She Lived in a Swamp. Two coats over Milani Hi-Tech. Chartreuse, lime and greeny-gold goodness. The string glitter in this is a little hard to work with, wanting to curl in all sorts of odd directions. They were fine after a little prodding though.

The Telltale Heart. One coat over Models Own Top Turquoise. I loved this combo. Top Turquoise is much more... well, turquoise IRL. I think it went really well with the vivid magenta glitter.

Snow Angel. One coat over Revlon Powder Puff. Ahhh... Snow Angel. I remember the crazy it caused when I first saw this on my friend Eve. And now I have my very own bottle! *-* Anyhoo, my nails are so stained that I almost cried when I first tried layering over a sheer white. Yuck. Luckily, I found Powder Puff which is opaque enough to hide my stainage with one coat while still being a little sheer. I think the slight blue shimmer in it helped cancel out yellow as well.

Cauldron Drippings. One coat over black. I saw Lauren layer this over black and I needed to copycat her. I kept this one on after swatching everything. So fabulous!

As always, please check Lynn's blog for more information. She has a new collection coming out very, very soon which I am super excited for! They're sure to sell out in a flash so be on your toes.

Also, remember that the lovely Lynn only ships within the US so if you're "international" like me, make sure you have a plan of attack! I have signed up to a group order a kind buddy of mine is doing so she can forward the polishes on to me. Yay! I can't wait!

Ulta3 Floral Fever Autumn/Winter 2011 Collection

These came out around the start of March but I've only just got them. I didn't know Ulta3 collections had names until I did a quick Google and their media release came up labelling this as the Floral Fever collection which makes sense since all the names have 'fever' in them..

Kinda random colour choices right?

Swatches...

Blossom Fever. Light peachy pink with hidden red shimmer. The shimmer is very subtle - almost invisible. It does at interest to an otherwise pretty "regular" shade. This is three coats. It was a little uneven but ok overall. I don't think this one works with my skin tone very well.

Royal Fever. Dark purple creme. Really nice formula - 2 coats. I have quite a few dark purple cremes. I love them. This one leans more red than most of the others I have.

Pacific Fever. IMO, the star of the collection. Bright turquoise with lots of blue microglitter. So beautiful. This isn't the type of colour you'd usually see in an Autumn/Winter collection but I'm not complaining. This was two coats.

Midnight Fever. Two coats. Really, really dark navy with a bright blue shimmer. This is one of those colours that look pretty much black in most lightings. Under sun or bright light though, the shimmer really comes through. It's deep, dark and dramatic. I like it!

Gold Rush Fever. Ahh... here we have my least favourite. Gold frost. Really frosty frost. I hate frost. Just look at all those brush strokes. Plus, this shade of gold looked decidedly bad with my skin tone. The only saving grace for this polish? It konads really well.

You can probably tell by my the crappy alignment that I rarely pull out the konad (I am excited about the new BM plates though). This is konaded with plate HB24 on The Face Shop BL605 which is a gorgeous blue.

Twilight Fever. Another Paradoxal dupe. Everybody's done one. Still a great colour though. The formula was nice - 2 coats.

Overall a nice collection. I think the colour choices were a little random. They didn't seem to tie in with one another very well. It was like they just threw a bunch of colours together, gave them matching names and called it a collection. I'm a little miffed at the price increase - $2.25 from $2 but that's still really good compared to other cheaper brands such as BYS which now go for around $4-5. Plus, I like bin diving :)
