Apple Nails

I saw this mani on Polish Art Addiction who in turn had taken it from this one by Rebecca Likes Nails. She has a lovely little tutorial up and the whole thing is so adorable, I couldn't resist!

Usually I shy away from any form of freehand nail art or I relegate it to an accent nail only. That way I don't have to worry about doing my dominant hand. However, this looked simple enough that I could do it on all my nails so I went ahead. They're kind of messy but at least they look good from a distance!

Here's what I used...

Left to right: Ulta3 Allure, Essie Red Nouveau, OPI Suzi Loves Cowboys, China Glaze Starboard and Misa Heaven White

Late Green Spam

So errr... St Patrick's Day was yesterday but here is my green post. Sorry it's late! Enjoy :)

A-England Dragon. A dark yellow-toned green scattered holo with gold shimmer! *licks*

Essence Back to Paradise. Deep blue-toned green jelly. Not so keen on the formula but the colour is amazing.

One coat of Big Universo Espectral over Nfu-Oh 56 over China Glaze Gussied Up Green.

MAC Dry Martini. Gross colour? Yes. Do I still love it? Also yes.

Ozotic 503 over black. The colour shift is subtle compared to the other Ozotics but it's still very pretty.

OPI Simply Smash-ing! Gives me the worst lobster hands in the world but I still love it.

Unnamed Sasatinnie. Very dark smoky green jelly with some hidden shimmer. Reminds me of Here Today, Aragon Tomorrow.

Jelly sandwich with New York Summer Amaranth and Love my Nails Pink Surprise. Diamond glitter!

OPI Jade is the New Black. A perfect dusty green. One of my most worn green cremes.

China Glaze L8R G8R. Pale green holo. I haven't pulled this baby out in years! Glad I did!

Misa Let's Go Green. Bright, bright lime with gold shimmer. Gold shimmerrrrrr...

And lastly, Rimmel Mania. My love. I know this isn't technically green but that's besides the point :) My bud Kristy snapped this up for me on eBay. (((((hugs!)))))) Isn't she wonderful?! Mania is a close cousin of Bloom Bianca. But better. So much better!

Rainbow Leopard Konad

Something bright, colourful and happy! Perfect way to kick off a new year.

Black spots on white, I think it was plate BM221. Then filled in with dots of colour. I received so many oohs, aahs and compliments when I wore this. It was very attention grabbing.

Misa Love Bite

A while back I posted swatches of the Misa Poisoned Passion collection. I was missing Love Bite because I'd just never got around to ordering it. Well, the lovely Carli sent me her bottle. Isn't she just the sweetest?! Thank you Carli!!! <3

Love Bite. Dark, vampy burgundy red. Three coats. This is one of those jelly/creme hybrids that are so so shiny. It's gorgeous. I loves me some vampies!

Misa Poisoned Passion Collection

Yes, another old Autumn/Fall collection for you and again, I don't have all the colours. I'm missing one out of the six - Love Bite. Poisoned Passion was from Fall 08 and it is glorious. Glorious!!!

Aren't Misa bottles just lovely? They're all square and bottom heavy; very luxurious IMO.


All swatches are three coats

Forbidden Lust. Glowy purple shimmer. This is really beautiful IRL... it completely lights up in the sun.

Dying Love. Dark smoky grey/black with a silver shimmer running through it. The colour brings to mind ashes which I guess is very appropriate.

Toxic Seduction. My favourite. Lots of sparkly green shimmer in a green-tinged grey base. The green shimmer is very predominant and almost covers up the base colour. Gawjus.

A Sin Worth Committing. Dark electric blue shimmer. Dupey to OPI Yoga-ta Get This Blue but with a much better name. Lacquerized has a great comparison here (I miss her!).

Fatal Affair. Deep plummy purple with blue shimmer. The shimmer in this is different to the rest of the collection. The particles are bigger and it seems to only really come out and play where the light hits.

Overall, a great collection. One of my favourites. Formula was really good on all of them. I keep putting off picking up Love Bite because I seem to have a lot of similar colours to that but I'll get around to it someday. *edit* Swatch of Love Bite here.

Like It Like That. Bright, zingy metallic green with just a slight blue duochrome. So gorgeous. Didn't look like much in the bottle, but it really glows on the nail.
