In case you didn't know, it's Spring here in the southern hemisphere... and today, I'm feeling the season!
This isn't much of a gradient really since the colours don't "blend" into each other. I chose to sponge on the rainbow because I didn't want to mess around with tape and getting straight lines (read: I'm lazy).
What I used:
L to R: OPI What's With the Cattitude, American Apparel L'Esprit, China Glaze Something Sweet, TBN Anna Loves It!, China Glaze Lemon Fizz and China Glaze Re-Fresh Mint. (They look so pretty lined up together!)
All sponged over a coat of Revlon Powder Puff with stars from plate M17.
I'm loving the way it turned out but I kind of wish I'd done the rainbow on the diagonal - I think it would've looked better that way. Still happy though! It's so cheerful :)

Halloween gradient
I did this mani a couple weeks back. I saw this post last year and told myself I *needed* to do it for the coming season. Obviously hers are a whole lot better than my attempt!
It was such an enjoyable manicure! I had several people ask me which salon I went to to get them done. Adorable!
I used China Glaze Light as Air and Ruby Kisses Bold and the Beautiful for the gradient and freehanded the stars with yellow acrylic paint. I konaded some accents including the cat as well as a pumpkin and a bat (not shown) using plate HB28.
Thanks for looking and I hope you are all well.

Silver glitter gradient
My current manicure. It's very sparkly but somehow seems kind of subdued and feminine. Lots of fun!
For this mani, I used the Essence Gel-look topcoat (recommended and gifted to me by my bud Kristy) under Poshe to smooth things out and it seems to be a better alternative to Gelous. Everything is glassy smooth.
Here's the rest of what I used.
Left to right: Essence Wear Your Little Tutu, Etude House Glam Pearl, Sally Hansen Celeb City, Etude House Sparkling Silver, The Face Shop SL211
For those interested in a breakdown, it's one coat each of Essence Wear Your Little Tutu and Etude House Glam Pearl as a base. Then SH Celeb City on the tips for opacity and finally the gradient, created with Etude Sparkling Silver and The Face Shop SL211. Easy!
Thanks for visiting!

NOTD Yellow to pink gradient
Before I get started, I just want to mention that I'm trying harder at Social Media. You can follow me on Twitter and Instagram (both @steffalaa)!
I found this adorable knit cardigan while shopping the other day...
Isn't it cute? I loved the gradient so much that I wanted to do it on my nails as well.
The gradient is done on a base of Revlon Powderpuff which seems to be my go-to undies for so many things. The yellow is American Apparel Butter, the salmon Orly Pixy Stix and the pink Cult Nails Devious Nature.
I felt quite giddy having my nails match my clothes today. Usually, I don't give a second thought to being matchy-matchy unless it's for a formal occasion or special event.

Pink, purple and blue gradient
I wore this last week while I was feeling a little blah. Picked me right up!
I used Ulta3 Hot Spring, Bloom Lavender Bay and Essie Mesmerize on top of a coat of Revlon Powder Puff. I think I should have picked a darker pink. It doesn't fit into the gradient as well as I wanted. But that's ok, because I still loved it! A great pictorial of how to do gradients can be found here.

Lynnderella Snow Angel Gradient
This was a pre-Easter mani that I did last week. I only snapped this one picture of it so this is going to be quite a short post.
Alternating bases of China Glaze Light as Air and Something Sweet. Then I added a gradient with Snow Angel.
Can you see the shrinkage I got especially on my ring finger? It's because the tips of my nails were SO thick. Think: base, two coats of colour, three layers of Snow Angel, clear, Glitter Tamer and Poshe.
I think it also chipped in less than a day. No bueno. But it was cute while it lasted. Haha!

Happy Easter!
I hope the Easter Bunny is generous to you all!
My Easter NOTD is Missha BL002 sponged with Missha GR001 and then a free hand bunny for an accent. It's pretty messy and you can see all the mistakes in the close up but I think it turned out pretty good.
And now for Mario's annual Easter appearance :)

NOTD Spam
Just some of what's been on my nails lately.
A-England Saint George konaded with ChG 2030 and plate BM20. Saint George is such a gorgeous and saturated teal. Opaque in one single coat as well!
Gradient done with Etude's Wannabe Perfumed Syrup Nails set. Look how pretty the packaging is...
Pa A20. Bight jelly-esque blue. I really need more Pa's. I adore each and every one I have.
Lynnderella Change over Essence Nude It! I've done this exact combination before but I adored it so much I wanted to wear it again.
Big Universo Espectral over black. A beauty from Brazil. The flakies are really dense in this one. Only one coat is pictured above.
