Past NOTD Spam

My nails are getting.... better. They should be all right after my next chop! Stupid peelies. In the mean time, here's some past NOTD spam.

China Glaze Lighthouse over Precision The Next It Girl. Sparkly yellow-gold glass fleck!

Here is The Next It Girl by itself...

Creamy egg-yolk yellow. Kind of seems like a blatant rip off of OPI The It Color. It is very nice nevertheless.

Anna Sui 300 over black. Anna Suis come in cute little rose bottles and smell like roses. Yummy! Plus, round glitter is surprisingly quite unusual.

BB Couture Bonnie. BBC glitter in a lush green, slightly jelly base. Awesome, awesome, awesome.

Flomar U31. Deep, almost black base filled with duochrome flaky shimmer. It flashes predominantly purple to pink and ever so slightly golden at extreme angles. Thanks to Kristy and Erina for letting me know about this :)

China Glaze Something Sweet. I haven't seen myself wear pink for quite a while now. So many pinks just look off on me. I did like this one though!

Unnamed Sasatinnie over Australis Here Today Gone Tomorrow. I picked up the Sasatinnie really cheap while I was in Asia. It's got smaller silver, green and blue glitter with larger yellow (gold?) glitter. It's very nice layered.

And the Australis by itself...

How nice is this?! Erina tells me it's a dupe for Illamasqua Rampage. A beauty!

Australis Blue Tiger with China Glaze Cracked Concrete. I'm not too sure I'm so fond of this combo. I think it would have looked better with white crackle instead.

Precision Toxic-Wasting My Time. Reddish, caramel-y brown with lots and lots of gold shimmer. I really loved wearing this. I do so very much enjoy gold shimmer.... :)

A green, a blue/green and a blue shimmer

Three shimmery polishes - one green, one blue-ish green and one blue! All three belong in my current, ever-changing Top 20.

The green...

Precision Poison Ivy. A medium-dark forest green with gold shimmer. I have a few colours like this but this one is my favourite. Greens like this just do me in every time. Plus the freaking gold shimmer is so darn lovely. Amaze.

The blue/green...

Bloom San Francisco AKA Bianca in the regular line. So complex. It's composed of a slightly teal, blue base with lots of gold shimmer but it also has a green pearl overlay which makes it look slightly duochrome and so astonishingly awesome.

The blue...

Etude House BL009. Super duper glowy blue with heaps of green shimmer. Kind of reminiscent of Orly Royal Navy since it has the same kind of idea. It's VERY vibrant. You have to see this one in person to fully appreciate it.

A while back, I promised Kris a picture of my furry little friend. So here he is (kind of, lol)...

A Sampling of a Few Greens I Like

Green is probably my favourite nail polish colour. I can't get enough of it. Greens are the shiz. Here's a few I like.

China Glaze Jolly Holly. Lovely dark forest green shimmer. The shimmer leans golden in this and gives the green a little warmth and so much depth. Beautiful! I love it!

Precision McDreamy. One of those many jade green cremes that have come out lately. Not unique but such a lovely colour. Awesome application too- two smooth coats.

Revlon Emerald City. Dark green with bright emerald shimmer. Dries semi-matte. I'm not too keen on the finish of the Revlon Matte Suedes. I like my matte polishes really matte and my shiny polishes really shiny - stuff in between doesn't really tickle my fancy. But holy poop... just look at the colour.

Orly Green Apple. It's not a jelly but there's something about the colour that just says "I'm juicy. EAT ME." Needless to say, I absolutely adore it.

I'm having a few troubles lately so these are older pics. I hope you guys don't mind!

Precision Toxic Love Fall 2011 Collection

I stumbled upon these polishes at a nail supply place here in Melbourne. They had a big rack and sell these for $6 which is a steal. I picked up these three colours that were sitting at the bottom of the rack looking kinda lonely.

Click to make them larger if you so wish

Swatches...

Intoxicated. Pink leaning purple shimmer. This is three coats. It applied really nicely. It reminded me a lot of China Glaze Cowgirl Up so I did a quick comparison.

As you can see, Cowgirl Up is much more pink and a little more brushstroke-y. Also, those beautiful blue shimmery flecks in Cowgirl Up is much more visible than in Intoxicated.

Toxic Wast-ing My Time. What a name... This was a little thinner than the others but it was good at three coats. It's kind of a warm chestnut brown with a heavy gold shimmer. Very pretty.

Poison Ivy. HOLY SHEEET! Just look at this. I want to cry for the beauty that is this polish. Dark forest green with lots of pretty gold shimmer. Intense love. Two coats.

No information for these polishes came up in Google so I sent the company and email and apparently these are from the Toxic Love Collection for Fall 2011 and they have been released early in Australia to coincide with our different seasons. How nice! Usually companies release collections here sooo much later than in the US. Yeah, you know I'm looking at you Revlon.

Random Swatches

Hey guys! Just a few swatches for you today

CM Midnight Imposter. One of my favourite "starry night" polishes. Little silver square glitters in a deep blue base. 3 coats.

Precision Twilight Zone. Red toned purple with holo glitter and a violet shimmer running through. Kind of reminds me of China Glaze Grape Crush but more red. Really nice formula on this one, 2 coats.

Avon Olive Green. Man Avon has been really good lately. Awesome new colours, brushes and formula. This one is a dupe to RBL Orbis Non Sufficit I believe. This is one freaking coat. Amazing!

Missha HGR01. Three coats. Frosty metallic green with a slight gold and blue duochrome that doesn't show up on the nail as it does in the bottle. It's a little brushstrokey so I had to be careful with this one but the colour is really nice.

Color Club Take Me To Your Chateau. Baby blue cream from the Pardon My French collection. A really stark blue. Lots of white in the base. Two very smooth coats.

China Glaze Sexagon. A silver scattered, but strong holo. Three coats. A little sheer and watery, but all the ones from the Kaleidoscope collection are like that. This puppy looks great under artificial light as well as in the sun.

Essie Demure Vixen from Summer 2010. Putty mauve base with a violet shimmer. Such an unusual color. I really love it, but it didn't look the best against my skin. 3 coats.

China Glaze 2NITE. Smooth, linear blue holo. Gorgeous! One coat over Nfu-Oh Aqua Base.

Catherine Arley 805. Scattered black holo. It's no competitor to MPJ, but it's nice. Really smooth formula that glided on in 2 coats.

BK 04. I picked this baby up while on vacation in Shanghai. Notice it's in a very similar bottle to the Nfu-Ohs. Bright pink holo. The BK holos are really nice. They have this unusual... almost foil finish to them. They're still really sparkly under artificial lighting; not plain metallic looking.

China Glaze Crushed Candy over BK 04. I really like the pink and blue combo of this and the holo just peeking out beneath the crack.

Thanks for reading :)
