Lynnderella Mercurial

Another day, another Lynnderella! Man, I am really enjoying these. I do apologize to any Non Glitter Fanatics out there... maybe one day I'll get sick of all the sparkles....... *coughnevercough* :)

This mani is one coat of Mercurial over two coats of Ulta3 Wild Berry. Perfect combination! Wild Berry is a dark purple/brown/charcoal grey colour. It kind of shifts depending on the light. I wish I took pics before I added Mercurial, but that's okay. Here's a bottle shot instead...


Mercurial didn't wow me in the bottle as much as the others did, but HOLY CRAP did it surprised me when I put it on. I love, love, love it!







Lovely, yes? This was smooth with three layers of top coat - two of Ulta3 Non Chip and one of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri. I really should try Glitter Tamer soon but I am too scared that I will become addicted to it and run out completely, LOL.

 Application was indeed a little unwieldy (more so than the others I've tried). The glitter was kind of... clumpy? Like, it wanted to stick together. Some of the glitter also didn't want to stay flat. Nothing a little manipulation and prodding couldn't fix though.

    Thank you for posting this one! I was still deciding on this one and it was between this one at Very Pretty Vampire. I really love the gunmetal grey/silver hex glitters & am super excited to order this now!

    Could you VPV next though? Maybe I'll need that one too ;)

    Wow I did not like this polish as much as the others when I saw your swatch but I'm loving it now.  It was on my maybe's list since there were 10 others that I was lemming for.  It's on my definite list now, but Lynderella seems to be having some issues with her polish base recently so no new sales yet :( I'm dying for these polishes seriously dying and it's you and Lynderella that are killing me!

    Stef, I've gotta ask... how did you get yours to turn out this colour?? I recently purchased this, but I find the grey base of the polish just covers up all the glitter in it... I loved it before but am not sure now... Help! :)

    Hi Stef! I've gotta ask: how did you apply to get the colours to turn out this way? I purchased Mercurial but am not as impressed...I found its grey/charcoal base covered almost all of the glitters! Help... Thanks!

    Hmm.. that's strange. I just applied it like normal over the Ulta3. The base of Mercurial is definitely sheer enough that it doesn't obscure the glitter. Sorry I can't be of further help.

    I love love love your swatches of this! Mine does not look like this. The glitter in mine curled so bad.  i bought this one b/c of your swatch!!! Its the only lynderella i've had issues with. i wonder if its different batches of glitter or something? maybe i should email Lynn and ask.

    Oh, so lovely! But oh, so expensive.  Lynn that makes this polish says that she sells it for $20 a bottle, and now is only selling it on ebay. I just went to ebay to look and there are 2 bottles there right now, each current bid price of $750 each!  Yes, each!!  Previously some sold at $800 each!!  Never, no way! Not for me.  Beautiful... but I can't believe people are will ing to pay that much for it.
