i can't decide about this one. it's been an untried for about a year, lol. I'm just not into blues... it does look good on you though! :) maybe i should keep it for my sister, in case she ever starts to love glitter.
Gaaaaaah your pics of this are SO good! (And of course, the polish is beautiful.) Can I ask what camera, settings, etc. you use? Apologies if you've already answered this question elsewhere on your blog and I missed it! Your pics of glitters (which make my camera crazy and unable to focus) are just TOO good!
You've made me want this one! I umm'd and arhh'd over this polish when put in an order about a week ago, now i wished i got it. It will have to wait for another order because i have already spent far too much on polishes already this month and it's only been a week. I have about 35 coming in the mail! oops!!
Beautiful! Absolutely Alice has been at the top of my wishlist for months. I need to pick up a bottle before the price gets too crazy. Did you layer this over black?
omg... sorry it took so long to get back to you K! Ok, here goes...
I shoot with a Sony DSC-H5. Most of the time, the auto mode works just fine for me but sometimes if it's not cooperating, I'll adjust the white balance to whatever light source I'm using.Soft light tends to be the best in bringing out fine details in polish - glitters, flakies, some duochromes etc. The two types of soft lighting I use are shade and a light box. The light box brings out more details but the downside is that the nail polish will appear semi-matte and not shiny. For close-ups, what I do is set the "picture size setting" on my camera to the highest one - 7 megapixels. This means that after I crop, I'll still have a large picture with lots of detail. Then I'll take a pic and crop it down to just the one nail.So basically... the key for me is soft, diffused light. My favourite is using a light box.
I HTH! I have lots of pics that I could attach to this as examples and comparisons but I'm not sure if you want them... tweet or pm me on MUA if you'd like them k? :)
O.O These are some gorgeous photos of Absolutely Alice! WOW!!! I've been in love with this polish since I laid eyes on it. It's perfect. <3 It looks so beautiful on you!
I´ve just recently discovered your blog, but I totally love it! So that´s why I rewarded you with the butterfly award: http://miranniesnails.blogspot.com/2011/08/butterfly-award.html
AA was the only one I picked up from the collection because of it's beauty and because Alice is my mother's name! :) I couldn't be happier that I have this little gem!! How many top coats did it take for it to be smooth to the touch? What top coat do you use becausse it looks ah-may-zing!!!
